      1. This is a complete Saniaccess 2 system and includes a Saniflo Toilet (elongated toilet bowl (Item #087) or round toilet bowl (Item #083), soft-close seat, toilet tank (Item #005) and the macerating pump unit (Item #081). An optional extension pipe (Item #030) is available for the pump to be installed behind the wall. The extension pipe can be purchased here: Saniflo Extension Pipe.

The Saniaccess2 is a 1/2 HP pump system used to install a half-bathroom up to 15 feet below the sewer line, or even up to 150 feet away from a soil stack. It incorporates a macerating system which can handle human waste and toilet paper in residential applications. The blade is made out of a hardened stainless steel material which eliminates the need for any service or replacement.

      1. The inside of the unit comprises of a pressure chamber, which starts and stops the unit, and the motor, which drives the stainless steel macerator blades and the pump. When the flush is activated, the water flowing into the Saniaccess 2 activates a micro switch in the pressure chamber, which in turn starts the motor. The motor is sealed for life in an oil filled enclosure. A common spindle/shaft drives the impeller and the macerator blades. The moving parts therefore are kept to an absolute minimum. Water and organic waste matter enter the chamber and are reduced to slurry as the macerator blades rotate at 3600 RPM. The centrifugal force causes the reduced solids to be ejected through a grill into the container where it is picked up by the impeller pump mounted beneath the motor. The unit pumps the effluent upward to 15 feet and/or 150 feet horizontally (with gravity fall). Once the water level in the container goes down, the micro switch deactivates the unit until the flush is activated again. A normal operating cycle for Saniaccess 2 takes about 10 - 12 seconds depending upon the discharge pipe run configuration; power consumption is therefore minimal.

In addition to the toilet waste, the Saniaccess 2 will also discharge gray water from a sink. The wastewater will drain into the system via a 1-1/2” inlet which is located on the side of the pump housing. Note that either side connection can be used for the vent or as an inlet.

The discharge elbow on top of the unit can be turned either to the left, to the right, or towards the back, depending on the discharge installation. A non-return valve, which comes already assembled on the discharge elbow, prevents back flow into the unit.

This unit has been designed with a 1-1/2” vent connection on the side of the pump housing. All plumbing codes require connection to a vent system. Please note that the vent system should be a two-way air vent. The use of mechanical vents, air admittance valves or similar devices are not permitted as these are considered one-way air vent systems. It is also highly recommended for the macerator/pump to be connected to a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) circuit.

Periodic maintenance can be accomplished easily without having to disconnect the unit from either the toilet or the rest of the plumbing system. Through one service panel, a service contractor can access the electrical components as well as the level sensor mechanism of the pump. The second service panel provides ready access to the basket area around the macerating blades for easy removal of any large objects that may have been accidentally flushed.

The Saniaccess 2 unit must be connected to our Saniflo rear discharge toilet. This system uses much less water than a regular toilet. Note: This toilet only works in combination with Saniflo systems.

The Saniaccess 2 has been certified to American and Canadian Standards. Macerating standard; US: CSA Certified & IAPMO (UPC) listed - ASME A112.3.4, CA: Macerating Standard CSA B45.9.
      2. Features and Benefits:
      3. Allows you to build a half bathroom (toilet and sink) in a basement or other area where the connecting sewer gravity pipe is higher than your bathroom. Also allows you to have a bathroom in a closet or other area where sewer is not currently plumbed in.
      4. Saniaccess 2 macerator is sized for a half bathroom. It can handle wastewater from the toilet and sink. The wastewater will drain into the system via a 1–1⁄ 2” inlet which is located on the side of the pump housing. Note that either side connection can be used for the vent or as an inlet
      5. Discharges the waste through a 3 ⁄ 4 ” or 1” rigid pipe. A non-return valve is included on the discharge elbow assembly provided with the system. This elbow can be rotated 360 degrees depending on the discharge installation.
      6. The elongated bowl toilet, with soft close seat, is ADA compliant.
      7. Designed with two easy access service panels located on top of the pump. On one side of the pump you can easily access the electrical components and the level sensor. The other side allows access to the macerating blade for easy removal of foreign objects.
